Open My Guide

‹Open My Guide OMG› is proposed as an alternative art-captioning system for art galleries and museums. It aim is to provide greater freedom of interpretation by using an open-source, decentralized model, to replace the more authority-laden practice of providing curatorial captions.

1. Please find the work that is depicted in the illustration.
   
2. After experiencing the work, please record your interpretation of it:
   - press the REC button. Once you’ve pressed it, you will hear a beeping sound, and you should continue pressing until you’ve finished recording.
   - Please keep the distance less than 10CM from the microphone.
   - You can record a max of 60 seconds
   - Give your interpretation or commentary
   - it can be whatever you like.
3. Once you leave the comment, please bring back the card to the desk and swap the card with another person’s card.
4. Press the play button and enjoy other users’ comments.
5. Please notice, that once you press REC again, you will erase the previous record.

오디오 가이드 프로토타입

‹오픈 마이 가이드›는 미술관과 겔러리를 위한 대안적인 캡션, 작품 설명글 시스템이다. 관람객은 전시장에 비치된 소형 녹음기가 내장된 음성 가이드를 이용하여 본 프로젝트에 참여한다. OMG 가이드에 직접 특정 작품에 대한 본인의 생각과 느낌을 녹음해 놓을 수 있다. 그리고 이는 교환 테이블을 거쳐 타인에게 전달되며, 본인 역시 다른 사람이 녹음한 내용을 들을 수 있다. 오픈 마이 가이드는 오픈소스 방식을 이용해 기존 미술관과 갤러리가 가진 큐레이터 중심의 작품 설명 방식에 도전하며, 예술 작품에 진부한 설명글을 덧붙이는 관람 방식에 대해 질문한다.

1. 미술관 안에서 가이드에 묘사된 작품을 찾으세요. 가이드 후면 지도에 작품이 위치한 방이 표시되어 있습니다.
2. 작품을 감상한 후 본인의 감상 평을 녹음해 주세요.
   - REC 버튼을 누르면 삐소리가 납니다. 녹음이 다 끝날 때까지 지속해서 REC 버튼을 누릅니다.
   - 마이크로 부터 10cm 이상 떨어지면 녹음이 잘되지 않을 수 있습니다.
   - 총 60초만 녹음이 가능합니다
3. 작품 감상평 녹음이 완료 되었으면 가이드를 데스크로 가져오세요. 다른 관람객이 녹음한 동일한 작품의 가이드와 바꾸실 수 있습니다.
4. Play 버튼을 누르시면 다른 관람객이 녹음한 감상평을 들으실 수 있습니다.
5. REC 버튼을 다시 한 번 누르시면 기존에 녹음된 감상평이 지워집니다. 이 경우 새로 감상평을 녹음하실 수 있습니다.
