OND Lab
OND Lab is a design research laboratory exploring “UX, Digital, Innovation, Service, Strategy”, part of UNIST.
OND aims to carry out meaningful digital innovation through creative design methods and process, values to propose a strategic solution in a holistic service point of view and approach.
OND is continuously asking and challenging current definition of design, trying to broaden and expand roles of design. OND is exploring how to contribute to an alternative way of living, adding different angles and layers and creating positive waves to techno-rapid-mobile world and life.

Hwang Kim
Hwang is an associate professor at UNIST, director at OND Lab, and board member of directors of the KSDH.
He graduated from Hongik University in 2006 and worked as a UX designer at Ahn Graphics from 2007 to 2008. He obtained a master's degree from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the United Kingdom from 2008 to 2010. Afterward, he worked as a UX Design Director at Philips Healthcare in Singapore and the Netherlands from 2011 to 2018. Following 12 years abroad, he returned to S.Korea and joined the Department of Design at UNIST.
His research and practice focus on digital product design, service design, design strategy, and healthcare UX design. Hwang initiated and directed multiple government and industry-funded projects.
He has a passion for advanced technology converged design education and worked on the revision of the academic curricula of UNIST Design. He is also actively engaged with multiple university and department committees and TFTs.
He likes to work with an object-oriented and problem-solving mindset by continuously learning, even in extremely pressured duty.

OND Lab
OND 연구소는 “사용자 경험, 디지털, 혁신, 서비스, 전략”을 연구하는 디자인 연구소로서 UNIST에 속하여 있습니다.
OND는 디자인 방법론과 창조적인 과정을 통해 디지털 혁신을 만들어 내는 것을 목표 하고 있으며, 서비스의 전체적인 시점에서의 접근과 전략 단계에서의 솔루션 제안에 가치를 두고 있습니다.
OND는 디자인 정의에 대하여 지속적으로 고민하며, 디자인 역할의 확장을 꾀합니다. 급변하는 세상과 삶에 다른 각도의 관점을 추가하고 대안을 모색하며 긍정적인 파장을 일으키기 위해 노력합니다.

김황
김황은 UNIST의 부교수, OND Lab의 디렉터이며, 한국 디지털 헬스케어 학회의 이사로 활동하고 있다.(2019~현재)
김황은 홍익대학교(2000~06)를 졸업 후 안그라픽스(2007~08)에서 UX 디자이너로 일했다. 그 후 RCA(영국, 2008~10)에서 석사를 취득, 필립스 헬스케어(싱가포르/네덜란드, 2011~18)에서 UX 디자인 디렉터로 일한 다음 출국 12년만에 귀국하여 UNIST 디자인학과에 합류하였다.
그는 학사 졸업 후 약 18년 동안 디지털 제품 디자인, 서비스 디자인, 디자인 전략, 그리고 의료 UX 디자인을 중점으로 활동하고 있으며, 다수의 정부 및 산학 프로젝트를 총괄했다.
그는 첨단기술 융합을 통한 디자인 교육에 관심과 열정을 가지고 있으며, UNIST 디자인학과의 교육 커리큘럼 개정 작업에 참여했다. 또한, 여러 대학/학과 위원회 및 TFT에 적극적으로 참여하고 있다.
