Digital Design Language System provides the essential principles, guidance, and tools to create consistent, compelling, and human experiences across our Health-Tech portfolio.
DDLS includes guidelines to create signature Philips experiences. It also has shared assets (patterns & building blocks) to drive design consistency, and inspiration for UX design innovation, developed in partnership with technology teams, and built to expand & evolve.
DDLS is to deliver information in a way clinicians expect, including standard conventions on the display, color, and layout of data. Support flexible care through portable, compact, and specialized interfaces on a variety of hardware - from the emergency department to the ICU or the general ward.

디지털 디자인 언어 시스템(Digital Design Language System)은 일관되고 통합된 사용자 경험을 필립스 헬스케어(Philips Healthcare) 전사(全社)의 포트폴리오에 적용시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. DLS는 필수적이고 기본적인 경험 원칙으로 부터 시작하여, 실용적인 가이드라인과 디자인 도구들을 망라한다.
DLS는 필립스(Philips) 만의 독특한 브랜드 경험을 전달하면서도 일관성을 유지할 수 있는 디자인 패턴과, 디자이너의 경험 설계 업무에 도움이 되는 구성 요소(building block)를 제공한다. 아울러 서비스의 혁신을 위한 영감을 북돋우고, 사용자 편의성 확장과 경험의 진보를 위한 기술팀과의 파트너쉽 가이드등도 포함하고 있다. DLS는 사용자 경험을 성공적으로 설계하기 위해 필립스의 디자이너, 개발팀이 참고해야할 첫 단추라 할 수 있다.
DLS는 환자 뿐만 아니라 의료진들 역시 사용자로 정의하고, 전문가들이 기대하는 효과적인 방식으로 정보를 조직하기 위하여 설계 되었다. DLS는 의료 디스플레이에 적합한 표준화된 인터페이스 설계 규격을 포함할 뿐 아니라, 적절한 색상, 데이터의 표현과 레이아웃 구성을 제시한다.
이동식 장비, 소형 장비에서 부터 다양한 의료 하드웨어의 특수한 인터페이스 또한 고려 되었다. DLS는 응급 부서로 부터 특수 치료 시설, ICU, 일반 입원실에 광범위하게 적용될 수 있다.
